Hi there, my name is Neema Kazungu and I finished Form Four in December 2018 thanks to the support I received. After managing to secure a place at SBM School where my education was a very high standard and free, I finished my primary education there scoring 374 out of 500 marks in my KCPE examination. I used to be the head girl at that time and I enjoyed that position for it was a way of preparing me to be a future leader in the society. I was also on the girls football team and for sure, I enjoyed participating in co-curriculum activities especially when I represented my school at the county level. I even managed to win The Spirit of SBM School annual award, this made my mother very proud indeed.

The St Bernadette Mary Spirit Award

Through the generous sponsorship of Kim and Vincent, I managed to join Drys Girls Secondary School in Uasin Gishu County. My life in high school was very smooth because everything was provided for and I sincerely cannot stop thanking everyone who has been involved in my academic journey. I am glad that all my hard work paid off as I did my national examination and managed to score a mean grade of B (plain).

Neema returns to school

At school, I was always a hard working girl who used to participate in various activities with the aim of supporting my academics. I am happy with my performance as I did my best. For the time being, while am waiting to join the next step of education in my country, am volunteering to help at GLO, this is my way of giving back to the people who helped me succeed so far.

It is my wish and prayer that I will get support and be able to pursue B.sc.Nursing course at the university, so that I can help those with health problems as it has been my dream. This will also enable me support my family and eradicate poverty within our family something I have not been happy with.

My happiness is to see my siblings get educated and follow my footsteps. My prayer be fulfilled and my dreams come true. My promise is that I cannot lose hope despite the challenges I will undergo in my education journey. I thank God for enabling me to this far and still believe that am going to find a way through to the University.
