Easter is indeed a time for reflection and rejoicing at The GLO, this year the older children asked if they could show how their creative skills have progressed by doing special cards as a Thank You to everyone for the support over the past year & to wish all our supporters a very Happy Easter.
The children divided into groups and put their heads together, the teamwork they showed was very impressive and the results are just amazing! There was no input from any of the staff but the children clearly had their own ideas on what exactly Easter means to them and to express it so artistically showcases how far their creative talents have advanced in the space of twelve months.
We have to say a big Thank You to the staff at St Bernadette Mary School who highlighted the importance of Easter all through the Lenten period, the children had a great understanding of just what they are celebrating today and the impact Easter has on their lives.
Seeing these happy faces must make us all realise that Easter is not just about the Easter Bunny & Easter Eggs, there is a deep meaning to this holy day. Thankfully the children at The GLO can celebrate it and give thanks for their transformed lives thanks to our generous supporters and the dedicated staff that work within the orphanage & school project.
As the children from O’Malley House go to church on a Saturday with Mama Alice they missed the workshop which produced these “works of art’ but how smart do they look, again this is all possible because of each & every person who fundraises and donated to The Good Life Orphanage, as you can see on this Easter Sunday we have indeed a reason to celebrate.
