This is my educational journey. I started my education in 2009 in pre-primary school at The Good Life Orphanage where I started learning. I joined my primary school in 2011 at Imara Primary School. I was good in academics and I was happy for myself in the same year I transferred to St. Bernadette Mary school, which was built near to Good Life Orphanage. I learned for eight good years.
In my primary school I had some challenges when I started dropping in class 5 that is 2015. 2015 is the year I wanted to trace my parents but I didn’t succeed. I had to accept my life and move on with it and focus with my education. I was emotionally stressed about my past but I finally made up my mind and focused on being a successful person,2015 was my long year. I did my K.C.P.E in 2018, I got 271 marks.
In 2019 I join form one at Ngelani High school in Machakos. For me Life in high school was good but coming to academics I always tried my best, the subjects were headache to me. I had to drop out of high school education and focus with a course which I had passion with. I joined Marianist Technical Institute in 2020 to pursue A FOOD and BEVERAGE under Catering. I learned only the first term because of the COVID-19 when the government ordered all schools to be closed.
In 2021 when schools were resuming I went back but I transferred to the same college in Ukunda but a boarding college where I continue with my third grade in catering. In October 2021 I did my final exam. I went for an attachment for 3 months on of the Four-Star Hotel where I personally requested an increase of the attachment period. I graduate in 13th May 2022 and am happy for myself by achieving that. It wasn’t easy but by the Grace of GOD everything was possible.
My dreams are to become a Professional Chef. I did my third grade of the course and I would like to continue with the next level in grade two and grade one until I do diploma so that I achieve my dream of becoming a Chef by profession and not only being employed but also owning my own hotel.
Me being a beneficiary at The Good Life Orphanage after achieving my dreams. I would like to support others like the way I was supported. I will help the people with special needs and others who are vulnerable so that they can have a successful future.
I appreciate Mama Mary and Papa Kevin for the support and care since I joined the Good Life Orphanage. Also a special thanks to Auntie Debbie O’Boyle and Guardian Angels Primary School in Bury for sponsoring me as a young boy.
May God bless you and protect you all.
