Little Munyau was often seen around the street of Kilifi with his mother who unfortunately suffers from severe mental health problems. As the child appeared to be malnourished and neglected it was decided by the authorities that Munyau’s life was in danger, he was taken to Saidia Kwa Moyo Orphanage nearby but the following day transferred to The GLO as we deal with children under the age of five. Here is the photo of his arrival two weeks ago.

Munyau arrives @ The GLO

On his arrival he was very weak, in ill health, having problems walking and very withdrawn. It appears he spent long periods of time alone so found the presence of other children and adults very scary. Munyau is about two years old, his mother has no idea of his birthday or any other information relating to her son. We will now try to find some history on where this little boy was born and if he has extended family who may actually be looking for him & his sick mother.

In the meantime he is settling in well at The GLO, although a quiet little boy he now enjoys going to Learning Space Nursery and is starting to feel at ease with the other children and his House Mama & House Auntie. As you can see from these photos little Munyau looks like a completely different child, healthy & managing to walk inside a two week period, the GLO is making this difference. Jack as ever being very caring towards the younger children brings him to nursery in this photo.
